More than 800 audio channels and 128 sum buses: STAGETEC’s new Platinum DSP
Amsterdam, September 2016: More channels, longer delays, a higher packing density and lower price – STAGETEC is presenting its new and extraordinarily powerful audio DSP unit for mixing consoles, the Platinum DSP, to international trade visitors at the IBC in Amsterdam (hall 8, stand C80). The AURUS console fully equipped with seven Platinum DSP processes over 800 audio channels* at 48 kHz and more than 400 audio channels* at 96 kHz, sufficient for any surround production! Both sample rates have access to 128 sum buses. "The Platinum DSP enables both the large AURUS mixing consoles and the more compact CRESCENDO to mix in 40-bit floating-point arithmetic at a sample rate of 96 kHz in stereo and 5.1 Surround at the same time", says Alexander Nemes, Distribution Manager at STAGETEC, explaining the practical advantages of the Platinum DSP.
