STAGETEC Release 4.3 with extensive update for AURUS and CRESCENDO platinum

Berlin, June 2017: A highlight of this update is the gain sharing automixer developed by STAGETEC. This automixer is integrated into the console design of AURUS and CRESCENDO platinum and can be used in all input channels. The channel processing functions can still be used without restriction. Four automixers can operate independently of each other at the same time, for example for four parallel call rounds.

Users will certainly appreciate the fact that loudness metering according to EBU R 128 is now also available in the sum and group channels of the STAGETEC large consoles. Unlike existing systems, no channel capacities are lost when using the loudness function here. Users can use all modules in the channels.

With the release, both platinum consoles provide a de-esser as a channel module in each input channel. In the AURUS, a new control cartridge is required for this feature.

Scene automation also offers a new feature: Fade curves and fade times can now be set individually for each channel. This function is one of the most important applications when changing scenes and is in particularly high demand in the theater sector. Fades can also now be started by GPI.

The software release enables scene start at a time code mark in all STAGETEC systems. Scene events can then be called up using the timecode trigger.

The release also brings good news for users of NEXUS in conjunction with a STAGETEC console: The size of NEXUS networks can now be doubled. While users were previously able to connect up to 31 Base Devices, up to 63 NEXUS Base Devices can now operate together in one network.

For NEXUS networks without STAGETEC consoles, the expansion will come with software release V5.28 at the end of June.

In addition to these updates, the software release also includes some smaller features, such as a higher resolution of all frequency scales to 24 steps per octave or a function extension of the GPIs, which can now also control compressor and limiter.
