Berlin, March 2018: STAGETEC, the Berlin-based manufacturer of professional audio technology, welcomes a new member to its sales team. Sebastian Schmidt has been responsible for customer support in the broadcasting sector in the D-A-CH countries since 01 March. "We are very pleased that Sebastian has rejoined our team," affirms Alex Nemes, Head of Sales at STAGETEC. "He has known our products for more than twenty years and has played a decisive role in shaping their further development. Our broadcast customers will benefit from his customer proximity and extensive industry knowledge."
Sebastian Schmidt is a trained information electronics technician and graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Konstanz with a degree in electrical communications engineering. From 1997 to 2003, Sebastian Schmidt initially worked as a sales engineer for professional audio technology at Stagetec VPA GmbH in Löffingen. From 2003 to 2015, he worked there as a branch manager and looked after customers in southern Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland and Scandinavia. He took over the technical consulting and developed customer-specific overall solutions and concepts. Sebastian Schmidt created system plans for sound systems in main control rooms, studios and OB vans in radio and television. He also planned sound systems in theaters and music academies.
Sebastian Schmidt played a major role in the digitalization of Swiss television in the audio sector. Another success of his work is the preparation and conclusion of the framework agreements with SRG as well as the framework agreements with ARD since 2012.
"I was looking for a new challenge, but never lost sight of the development at STAGETEC," Sebastian Schmidt elaborates. "That's why I'm very proud to be part of the launch of the new IP-based AVATUS mixing console and to introduce it to our broadcast customers. I'm also very much looking forward to working with trusted colleagues."
