NEXUS IP Link for Integral Networking of Audio & Control

The distribution of media content in real time over IP networks has become a matter of course today. The advantages are obvious. It is about high flexibility in the workflow as well as the possibility to reduce costs in operation. The best thing about it: The proven operational reliability and the extraordinary quality of STAGETEC are of course maintained.

The components for connecting AES67 and Dante audio streams have been part of STAGETEC's I/O portfolio for many years. The components are mature and have been tested over many hours of operation. As the next step towards full IP integration, NEXUS now also enables internal audio connections to be distributed via IP infrastructure. Thus, the dream of complete IP integration becomes reality with NEXUS!

As an alternative to dark fiber connections, signal management between NEXUS Base Devices is now also possible in a standards-based manner via audio IP streams according to SMPTE 2110. Simply connect one NEXUS terminal to each AES67 board, and the solution of fully integrated audio distribution can be used, together with all existing audio-over-IP features such as redundant networking with "Seamless Protection Switching" according to SMPTE 2022-7, as well as the possibility of remote production.

"Opening up the NEXUS in the direction of IP infrastructure is an important milestone for us at STAGETEC, but only the first step into the future," said Wolfgang Salzbrenner, managing partner of STAGETEC GmbH, explaining the company's strategy. "The goal is to completely open up to a heterogeneous, multi-vendor media network that helps to efficiently produce and distribute audio and video content."

Schedule a consultation now to develop the best solution for your NEXUS IP application. Hier geht es zur Terminvereinbarung. In addition, a STAGETEC community is being created, a network of partners with whom STAGETEC is working together to master the challenges of the future and make IP signal management for audio and video available to everyone.
