iF Design Award for AVATUS from STAGETEC

Berlin, April 2020: The mixing consoles from Berlin-based manufacturer STAGETEC offer outstanding audio quality, they are reliable, sustainable - and they are unmistakable with their elegant, innovative design. For this, STAGETEC has now won the internationally renowned iF DESIGN AWARD for the third time. Following CANTUS (1997) and AURUS (2006), the new IP console AVATUS also received the award in the "Product" category.

The product design was developed in collaboration with Arno Schünemann of Schünemann Design Berlin.

"With the novel user interface at AVATUS, we want to provide our customers with a contemporary workflow-oriented operation. The 21" large multi-touch screens and the color coding of the functional units allow a fast, intuitive way of working. In this respect, we see ourselves confirmed by this award, with which innovation and ergonomics are evaluated by renowned design experts from all over the world, " René Harder, Managing Director at STAGETEC, proudly tells us.

The international jury evaluated over 7,000 products in various categories. The evaluation criteria included: Degree of innovation, ergonomics, aesthetics, brand identity, the efficiency of production and logistics, and compliance with environmental standards.

The iF DESIGN AWARD was first presented in 1953 and is the oldest independent design award in the world. The aim of the award is to draw attention to particularly well-designed industrial products and to highlight the importance of design. The iF brand enjoys an international reputation as a symbol of design excellence. All award-winning entries are presented in the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE and published in the iF Design App.
