Bandung, Indonesia, May 2019: Stagetec Asia, the Malaysian branch of Berlin-based manufacturer STAGETEC, has completed its first project in Indonesia. A 32-fader AURUS and a NEXUS network with router and two Base Devices were installed in the Christian community Ark of Christ Church.
Ark of Christ Church (AoC) is very large and has congregations with up to 3500 believers. This requires a good audio system. Especially since the AoC not only uses its facilities for worship services and its own events, but also lets other churches and organizations use them as venues. "The AoC wanted to have the best audio system to provide the best possible audio experience for visitors to all events," explains Yohan Febrian, audio consultant at AoC.
The decision was made to go with an AURUS-NEXUS system from STAGETEC. One criterion was that the console could be easily configured. Another, that it offers diverse features and functions for a wide range of applications. "AURUS from STAGETEC is a unique console. Despite its extensive functionality, it is ready to use out of the box and very user-friendly, even for inexperienced users. We could not find a comparable console here in Indonesia," Yohan Febrian elaborates.
With several thousand people attending church services, as well as theatrical and musical performances, it was important to Ark of Christ Church that the audience be provided with the best sound experience and that details could also be heard clearly. "The acoustic equipment in our building already guaranteed very good sound reinforcement. Only with the sound level we were not satisfied. But the audio quality of the AURUS-NEXUS system, with its wide dynamic range, provides us with a stable and robust sound," reports audio consultant Yohan Febrian. "The sound experience during church services has noticeably improved. Even when all the seats in the large auditorium are occupied, every worshipper can now hear speech and music clearly."
