Phoenix premieres with AURUS platinum

The switch was thrown on August 20 – since then, the first AURUS platinum has been live on air at the television broadcaster Phoenix in Bonn. Introduced at the Tonmeistertagung in Cologne in November 2014, the console was delivered to Phoenix just a few months later. STAGETEC specialist Alex Nemes, who trained the Phoenix team in operating the new console, is convinced by the concepts behind it: "Phoenix benefits from the operating concept, which is optimized especially for speed. Together with its new AURATUS mixing console and NEXUS audio network as the host, the broadcaster now possesses an integrated, distributed mixing system." The new console combines proven AURUS functions with modern features, a brand-new operating concept and a plethora of formats. All of this makes AURUS platinum a powerful tool in any broadcast, theatre or studio application. Among the new features are a simple and logical matrix mixer, DAW controll and the ability to use meter bridge screens for external video signals in parallel.
