CRESCENDO platinum with new technical highlights for AES

AES, Berlin, May 2017: STAGETEC, the Berlin-based manufacturer of professional audio technology, presents CRESCENDO platinum with new features in audio processing at AES (booth 124). This makes CRESCENDO platinum once again more powerful and users will benefit directly in their work. The new features require the RMDQ board (Platinum DSP) and will be implemented with the software release 4.3 at the beginning of June.

In CRESCENDO platinum, a gain sharing automixer developed by STAGETEC is then available. This automixer is fully integrated into the console design and can be used in all input channels. All processing functions of the input channels can still be used without any restrictions. Four buses for up to four different talk groups are reserved for the automixer function.

Another highlight is the Loudness Metering function according to EBU R 128, which is now also available in the sum and group channels of CRESCENDO platinum. Unrivaled is the fact that no channel capacity in the console is lost when using the loudness function and that all modules in the channels are available to the user.

Following AURUS, CRESCENDO platinum now also offers a de-esser as a channel module in each input channel.

A new feature is also available in the scene automation of CRESCENDO platinum: Fade curves and fade times can now be set completely individually for each channel. This feature is one of the most important applications when changing scenes and is in high demand, especially in the theater sector. With this release, this function can also be used in CRESCENDO without an update to the RMDQ card.

And another important feature is made possible by the software update - scene start at a timecode mark. With the help of the timecode trigger, scenes events can then be called up.
