DELEC - The Latest Addition to the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP
At the beginning of the Tonmeistertagung, SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP announced to have acquired a share in DELEC Audio- und Videotechnik GmbH, a German manufacturer of intercom systems. »DELEC products will complement the MEDIAGROUP's array of intercom products and will open up new markets in the fields of intercom technology,« said Stephan Salzbrenner about the co-operation with this highly specialized company.
Many of the products offered by SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP as general contractor have required the implementation of a convenient intercom system to be obtained from third parties. From now on, the MEDIAGROUP offer their own DELEC range of products, which is increasingly important in particular with large-scale products, for example, in the fields of broadcasting or theaters.
DELEC was founded in 1988 by Donald Dilocker and was initially committed to furnishing recording and radio studios. In 1995, DELEC designed their first intercom system. As this system turned out to be highly successful, the company completely changed to digital intercom technology; today, DELEC confine themselves to manufacturing digital systems. The IC48 MKII digital intercom system, for example, is used in fixed installations as well as in outdoor-broadcasting applications and is a well-established product at German governmental radio and TV stations.
Donald Dilocker expects increasing sales and growth both in Germany and foreign markets due to the participation: "Our products are competitive all over Europe, and the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP is the perfect distributor for them," explains Dilocker his decision to join the corporate group.
The DELEC headquarters will remain at Göllheim (located between Mainz and Mannheim), and the company will continue designing their range of products. The staff comprising ten employees will completely be taken over.
DELEC was already represented at the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP booth at the Tonmeistertagung and introduced a new module for one of their core products: a wireless interface for the IC48 MKII intercom system. This interface integrates seven mobile radio sets into the typically wired intercom system and provides up to seven targets within the intercom system for each set. An intelligent reply function automatically connects the radio set to the caller, thus significantly simplifying operation.
The radio-set integration operates with a transfer power of 0.7…6 W and can be implemented for various frequencies between 400…470 MHz. A license for the PMR range for inexpensive radio-sets is applied for.
The radio-set interface allows, for example, for convenient integration of the floor-manager wireless communication into the intercom system at a TV production, or for routing stage-worker headsets to the stage-management address areas.
Compared to the integration of conventional radio sets, this setup benefits from the full integration of functions known from DELEC subscriber units.
