prolight+sound 2010 product news: Vivace electroacoustic room-enhancement at the Staatstheater Darmstadt
Prosound, Pinguin and the MEDIAGROUP present
Frankfurt, March 2010: It’s a common problem for theaters and multipurpose halls: Room acoustics are never ideal for all genres. German pro-audio specialist SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP offers a way out of this dilemma: The digital Vivace room-enhancement system.
How Vivace switches room acoustics from theatre to concert hall at Staatstheater Darmstadt is brought to Prolight visitors by a unique installation at the show: Pinguin Engineers, Prosound magazine and the MEDIAGROUP present acoustic examples from the Staatstheater within a so called 3-D-acoustic projector to be found at Hall 9.0, stand D45. Here, visitors can listen to various sources to which the original Vivace sound processing from the theatre is applied thus being able to find out how Vivace changes the room acoustics there. For the demonstration the specific pulse responses of the auditorium where recorded in order to simulate the auditoriums acoustics at the show.
Vivace was introduced to the MEDIAGROUP’s product range 2009. The system acquires on-stage sound with a number of ambience mics and analyses and processes this input signals in real-time using a patented algorithm which enables any acoustic space to be modelled with the highest accuracy attainable. The result is reproduced on a number of carefully positioned build-in speakers. Users of NEXUS audio may use this infrastructure to forward all input and output signals without the need of extra cabling. Users of AURUS have the option of integrating the Vivace GUI into the desk reproducing all information on the bright AURUS screens.
