CP/STAGETEC slam-dunks submix for TNT at NBA Saturday events
Atlanta, USA, March 2010: Many claim that the real fun at this year’s NBA All Star Game was actually had the night before at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. With several events including shooting stars, the skills competition, the three-point shootout, and of course the slam dunk contest, there was lots to see. Not only top basketball athletes were in the arena, a whole list of celebrities from P. Diddy to Arnold Schwarzenegger were there to catch it all.
To ensure that the entertainment value made it into the households, nestled between several large OB trucks was CP Entertainment’s new audio trailer. CP Communications supplied TNT all the effects and floor signals for the NBA All-Star Saturday events and relied on STAGETEC’s AURUS digital mixing console and NEXUS audio routing system to make it happen.
Jeff Walker had the controls of the AURUS inside the trailer, »this was the first time I have ever worked with the STAGETEC AURUS console and I was immediately impressed by its analogue style control surface for quick and easy operation: Every function I needed was right at my fingertips« he sums up his experience.
The NBA All Star Game was the debut for CP’s new trailer. Configured for surround productions, the main area of the trailer is larger than most and features a 32 fader AURUS console. Complete with its NEXUS system that is configured with remote stageboxes that are connected via fiber at vast distances, the truck is already on its next tour with the new Speed Channel show »Fast Track to Fame« airing March 1st.
