Operating Panels

The AURATUS has been designed from the ground up for user and service-friendly operation. The controls of eight channel strips are distributed on panels, which are integrated into mixing-console frames of varying width.

The operating panels are connected to one another via ribbon cables and could even be used in compact remote units, which can be connected to the console as necessary.

The number of channel strips is derived from conventional desks and formats and is therefore based on an 8-channel grid. The panel width, the resulting channel-strip width, and the TFT-display dimensions were optimised to prevent any viewing offset between a channel strip and its corresponding screen section.

The following AURATUS control panels are optimised for their respective tasks: multifunctional panels (for controlling aux sends, N–1 sums, equalisers etc.), fader panels, a central channel panel (assigned to the currently selected channel), and a monitoring panel.

Each panel weighs a mere 2-3 kg. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, we were able to lower the AURATUS’ power consumption to a level below even that of other Stage Tec systems, which were already surprisingly power efficient — even the biggest AURATUS version consumes less than 100 watts!
