Metering

The AURATUS uses high-resolution TFT colour screens for metering and parameter readouts. Located directly in the sound engineer’s field of view, these screens provide accurate and comprehensive information about the status of all channels. The screens can be customised to display names, filter and dynamics settings or routing information in addition to the meter readouts.

Since the meter displays are based on a high-resolution system and standardised curves, there is no need for external meter bridges. The flexible screens display everything the user requires — be it a simple level setting or complex multichannel metering. The meters have a display range of 60 dB. If necessary, their sensitivity can be increased by +20 dB.

The TFT screen in the master section displays all of the console’s important output levels as well as timer and signalling information.

zentral-meter

The encoder displays provide a quick overview of the current parameter settings at the place where they can be changed. More detailed information — for example, graphical EQ frequency-response or dynamic curves — is shown on the meterbridge screens and the small TFT displays in the master section.

OLED displays located above the channel strip faders show the names of the channel’s source and the background-layer channel. OLED refers to »organic« LEDs which provide excellent legibility even when viewed from the side. In addition, OLEDs feature a very fine graphics-enabled matrix and enable Arabic, Japanese, and Cyrillic characters to be displayed.
