Configuration
The AURATUS was designed as a mixing-console system with a fixed and intuitive structure. While footprints and console types (stereo or multichannel) differ, the signal-processing engine is the same for all versions. The overall system nevertheless provides a number of configuration options that can be changed to your liking and stored for subsequent use:

The assignment of NEXUS inputs and outputs to the channel strips can be freely selected in the NEXUS software and stored as a snapshot.
› The AURATUS can adopt the resource names you select and/or enter in the NEXUS software.
› The console offers more audio channels than there are channel strips. You can assign the audio channels to the desired channel strips and store your configuration for swift recall. The assignments can be combined to operation layers and selected via associated keys.
› The system also allows you to create stereo channel pairs and master-slave and link groups of several channels. Similarly, you can create mute groups so as to mute and activate several channels by pressing a single key.
› The static automation function can be used to save specific settings as so-called »snapshots«.
› All settings and snapshots can be saved as »projects« and recalled as and when necessary. Loading projects allows you to recall the console state that was in effect at the time the settings were stored.
› The console ships with a fully functional standard project (template). Additional projects you create can be selected via keys in the master section. Working with preset projects has the advantage that even less experienced users can benefit from all the functions the AURATUS provides.
› The AURATUS can interact with the NEXUS Logic Control software for enhanced external and remote control. This system allows you to use certain console keys to control external devices (»machine control«). Conversely, incoming control signals can be processed and displayed by console keys (illumination status) or in certain sections of the TFT screen.
