AURATUS Concept

The AURATUS mixing-console system comprises a console for operating and controlling audio processing and the XCMC audio processor in the NEXUS Base Device performing digital audio processing. Extra NEXUS Base Devices supporting various audio formats and realising extensive signal routing can be added as required.

Being a compact desk, the AURATUS has a fixed bus layout consisting of a maximum of 54 input channels, one stereo and one 5.1 sum, eight aux buses, and eight N–1 sums. Groups can also be configured. In this case, 46 input channels are available.

The complete DSP power of the AURATUS is accommodated on a NEXUS standard plug-in board consuming just 8 watts: the XCMC.

The AURATUS’ audio quality is also traditional Stage Tec quality. Signal processing is performed using the renowned 40-bit floating-point arithmetic. Combined with the TrueMatch converters incorporated into the NEXUS, this ensures exceptional sound quality on the AURATUS!
