AES Convention 2003 - AURUS (nur englisch)
Stage Tec Introduces a New Digital Console
The professional-audio manufacturer Stage Tec from Berlin introduces their refined AURUS digital console at the AES Convention in Amsterdam.
The AURUS is designed as a »direct-access« console for live applications, providing an exceptionally large number of controls for direct access. This is achieved by implementing space-saving dual encoders combined with double LED arcs and alphanumerical displays in the channel strips. These allow for controlling all important mixing functions directly on the channel strip; there is no need for using the Central Control Unit.
When designing the AURUS, quick and simple operation even in situations with operator changeovers was a key objective. The console innately features a universal basic configuration. Despite, the sequence of functions on the channel strips can be modified by the user. Hence, it shows the same flexibility as Stage Tec's long-term winner CANTUS.
Lead times even of multiple alternating productions are significantly reduced due to the preconfigured setup and simple adaptability. Considering the expandability of the system with a maximum of 96 channel strips and approximately 300 audio channels, this kind of fast operation is a vital argument.
The meterbridge comprises precisely working hires TFT colour screens displaying in various metering modes. In addition, these screens are used for showing a detailed graphical audio-parameter view and for console configuration.
The AURUS fully integrates with the NEXUS STAR digital router, allowing it to access the extensive features of a NEXUS audio network: the outstanding TrueMatch converters, a variety of digital formats, and the decentralized I/O distribution.
With the intuitive operation, the numerous integrated functions, and the approved audio quality of the AURUS, Stage Tec once more sets standards in digital audio!
