Interface Boards

The following boards are available for NEXUS STAR:

• RBP  Backplane featuring one or more XPSU power-supply units
• RCX NEXUS STAR controller board and routing matrix
• RMF  MADI audio-I/O board
• RFOC  Optical interface board for connecting to standard NEXUS Base Devices which offer I/O interfaces in various audio formats such as A/D, D/A, AES/EBU, MADI, Y2, TDIF, or SDIF-2 formats.

All boards except the RCX boards, the RBP backplanes, and the power-supply units are implemented as service-friendly slot-in boards. All I/O slots in a Base Device are identical, so any type of I/O board can be placed in any of these slots.
The boards are equipped with standard ports. Custom port configurations are available on request. Future standards are also considered in the design.
