SDI-Audio

Serial Digital Interconnect (SDI) is an internationally agreed standard for transmitting digital video with embedded audio and ancillary data. The shared, synchronised transmission path for video and audio over a single line offers a number of benefits, for example, when transferring via satellite links or routing over SDI video crossbars.
The XSDI board designed by Stage Tec is a universally applicable embedder/de-embedder solution. It provides for de-embedding, routing, editing, and embedding any or all of the 16 audio channels in real-time. The XSDI can function as a de-embedder and an embedder at the same time.
In addition to the SD video standard formats supported by the XSDI, the HXDI board also supports all common HD formats (HDTV) at a transmission rate of up to 1.58 Gbps.
