Amplifier Control
Controlling power amps using the NEXUS: Any Base Devices on the audio
network can be equipped with universal XCI communication-interface boards
designed for connecting remote-controlled power amplifiers.
The XCI provides four serial ports for controlling up to 64 power amplifiers,
for example, by SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP, QSC or Renkus-Heinz. d&b amplifiers
can also be connected using the d&b RIB Remote Interface Bridges.
The standalone, independent amplifier-control program runs on NEXUS control
computers. The amplifiers can be controlled either in groups or individually; the
functions and indicators available depend on the types of amplifier actually used.
The settings of any the controlled amplifiers or amplifier groups can be stored
and recalled.
