New Remote Controller for C.A.S. MIX
Convenient Rehearsing with the Satellite
Buttenheim, November 2004: At this year’s Tonmeistertagung,
SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP has introduced a new remote controller
for their C.A.S. MIX digital mixing console which is highly popular,
in particular, in the theater domain. The compact satellite controller
allows for controlling the console conveniently – either via
Wireless LAN or a cable network. Two panels provide eight faders
plus a master fader, all of which are virtually freely configurable.
The implementation of eight control layers allows for accessing up
to 64 channels. Group configuration and channel assignment for the
controller can be made via the control software running on the main
console or from a laptop computer integrated into the network.
With their new controller, SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP respond
to a demand for a C.A.S. MIX remote controller to complement the
laptop-computer controllability of the console. The new controller
accesses almost all basic functions of the C.A.S. MIX, providing
for speedy and efficient rehearsing, for example, in theaters or
musical venues. After performing a straightforward assignment of
channels using the console’s control software, the audio mix
can be made on the spot: The control data is forwarded to the main
system in the control room via the network or via Wireless LAN, which
is even more convenient. The integrated snapshot automation feature
of the C.A.S. MIX allows for storing the settings and recalling them
later, for example, during the show. This reasonable addition to
the C.A.S. MIX system has been presented at Tonmeistertagung and
can be obtained now. |
