Back in the nineties, the Berliner Ensemble theatre at the
Schiffbauerdamm was one of the first owners of a NEXUS audio
network. This network was used in conjunction with an analogue
console for some considerable time. When a modern digital console
was finally acquired, the extensive distributed network that includes
seven STAGETEC Base Devices was initially updated to the current
Matrix 5 status and adapted to the structure of the state-of-the-art
STAR router. A second step extended the overall system with a 48-fader AURUS console
precision installed in the theatre’s small audio
control room.
