Bayerischer Rundfunk Munich
The BR broadcasting service commissioned SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP
to carry out the expansion of the entire audio equipment on their OB
Trucks. A decisive factor had been the successful cooperation in 2002
when the audio control room of the Herkulessaal in Munich was completely
modernized. The audio routing on the radio and TV OB Trucks is based
on a NEXUS system with almost 800 inputs and outputs that has no extra
patchbays.
The only exception to this is a specialty of the BR: an external patchbay installed
in the rear part of the Truck. The audio network is complemented by two portable NEXUS
Base Devices. This setup can still be completed with two more Base Devices or a TrueMatch
RMC unit. In this case, 116 microphone inputs are available. The OMUX optical multiplexer
is used for switching between the various external optical lines.
The intercom routing on the radio OB Truck is achieved, too, using the NEXUS. For this
purpose, customized subscriber units are connected to the audio router via XRI relay
interface boards. |
