Gottlieb Daimler Stadium

On 8 July 2006, the third-place match of the football world cup will take place at this stadium in Stuttgart. The various technical installations at the stadium are examined to make sure they meet the strict requirements imposed by the FIFA. When it came to extending the audio system, a NEXUS was the system of choice because of positive experiences: A NEXUS audio network including twelve Base Devices has run with extreme reliability for almost ten years. Due to the enlargement, the existing NEXUS Base Device components were tested for wear. The tests showed that all components are still fully operable. These components, three new NEXUS Base Devices, and 50 additional boards now form an entirely new overall system.
The new NEXUS audio system fulfills a number of functions: It does not only feed 145 loudspeakers for terrace and field-area public address and evacuation but also integrates the internal studios and production premises and is used as intercom matrix providing subscriber units in the control room and for the police and the fire department.
