AURUS breaks own sales record
STAGETEC’S flagship console sees largest single
order ever at this year’s AES
Buttenheim (Germany), June 2006: STAGETEC, Germany’s
manufacturer of digital high-end audio equipment, has reported a new sales record
for its digital flagship console AURUS after this year’s AES. With a striking
total of 44 orders in the first five months of 2006, AURUS broke its own impressive
record set in 2003, when more than 30 consoles were shipped within one year! “Considering
that AURUS targets the very small market segment of large scale high-end consoles,
this year’s orders establish a new record and demonstrates the unsurpassed
confidence AURUS enjoys when it comes to demanding pro audio installations”,
says Stephan Salzbrenner, Managing Director for marketing and sales of SALZBRENNER
STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP. Total orders since 2003 add up to more than 100 systems with
more than 75 consoles already shipped.

This year’s orders include one of STAGETEC’s largest
single orders ever, placed by Spanish commercial TV broadcaster Antenna 3. The Madrid
based broadcasting house will take delivery of nine AURUS, ranging from large 56-fader
and 48-faders models to smaller 16-fader units to be supplied over the next 30 months.
The BBC swells the list of broadcasters selecting AURUS with two consoles for the
newly built and HDTV-enabled Glasgow Centre. French public TV broadcaster France
2 is another new AURUS customer. A 48-fader AURUS will play a key role in its demanding
news delivery operation. The world of HDTV outside broadcasting trucks is represented
by Swiss tv productioncenter zürich ag, Berlin based TopVision and Italian outside
broadcasting specialist Euroscena. All of them have equipped their newest HDTV vehicles
with AURUS and audio networked by the NEXUS audio routing system.
Apart from broadcasting applications, the Sejoung Culture
Centre in Seoul, South Korea, will take delivery of its new AURUS console in July
and the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Russia is going to install a giant 80-fader AURUS.
Here, the console will be installed in one of the biggest multi-purpose halls in
Europe with a stage spanning 40 meters! “AURUS has found its way into the most
prominent show venues and theatres around the globe thanks to its concept of combining
quick and simple operation with unexcelled flexibility and automation features meeting
the requirements of even extremely lavish show productions”, states Stephan
Salzbrenner. |
