AES 2005 News:
STAGETEC announces another successful AURUS sale
Belgian National Broadcaster RTBF orders three AURUS
desks for their Brussels based TV production facilities
Barcelona, Spain, May 29: Belgian National
Broadcaster RTBF will equip its Brussels based TV news studio and
two new High Definition
TV OB trucks with AURUS digital mixing consoles from STAGETEC. The
successful sale was made at this years 118th AES and was announced
by both partners on Sunday, May 29 in Barcelona. The installation is
scheduled for the second half of 2005. With this sale, STAGETEC’s
flagship console once again asserts its position as one of the fastest
selling consoles ever in the small high-end market segment: more than
50 desks have been sold worldwide since its market introduction in
2003!
A 40-fader AURUS will be installed in Studio 18
at the Brussels broadcasting house and there will be used for live
TV news production. The desk
will be equipped with 3 DSP-cards providing a total of 96 audio channels.
An even larger desk will be installed in RTBF’s 18 camera HD-TV
OB truck, known as “Magellan”: The engineers there will
take delivery of a 48-fader AURUS with up to 128 audio channels. “Magellan” is
mainly used for live sports and music production. The third AURUS goes
into an 8-camera OB truck with satellite uplink known as “One
Shot”. The Aurus inside this truck has 40 faders with up to 96
audio channels.
„For STAGETEC this sale is remarkable in double respects“,
stated Klaus-Peter Sholz, MD of STAGETEC Berlin, when signing the contract
at the AES. “Not only because AURUS is once again breaking new
records, but also because RTBF, who already owns five CANTUS desks,
is continuing its long term commitment to STAGETEC. This is a sign
of confidence we are very proud of!” he continued.
RTBF is the national radio and TV service for the French-speaking
population in Belgium with several stations in all parts of the country.
