More Convenience for the Creative: STAGETEC Introduces SnapMix for AURUS

Berlin, May 2005: STAGETEC has now updated the
snapshot automation of its digital flagship AURUS with a SnapMix function – for
increased convenience and creativity in production. Similar to dynamic
automation, this function now allows for storing complex mixes or effects
as SnapMixes. These SnapMixes can be recalled, regardless of the presence
of external timecode, with the internal high-precision clock of the
AURUS used as sync reference. This recommended update provides new
ways of creativity to users who work without timecode but would love
a highly capable and flexible automation feature. For example, a SnapMix
allows for achieving asymmetric fades between two stored snapshots
or for perfectly reproducing complex panning effects. “The new
SnapMix function targets those users in theaters and related areas
who frequently deal with complex live projects but cannot use dynamic
automation. The SnapMix is a powerful alternative to these users,” says
the Managing Director of STAGETEC, Klaus-Peter Scholz.
Starting in May 2005, the SnapMix will be a standard feature of all AURUS consoles
running with the new software version 2.2.
