SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP
Sets Up New Base in
Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). On 1 January
2004, SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP incorporated a new subsidiary,
giving them a base
in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. The new office will be in
charge of supporting the Southeast-Asian and Pacific re-gions. General
Manager of the office is Mr Philip Gan, a renowned pro-ject manager
and planning engineer with more than ten years in-depth knowledge of
the industry. His particular expertise is in digital audio for radio
and TV broadcasting as well as sound reinforcement and public-address
systems – the main areas in which the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP
is active. Apart from Malaysia, China and Japan are primary target
markets. However, markets such as Thailand, South Korea, Singapore,
Indonesia, and Taiwan will be developed from the Kuala Lumpur base.
The new SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP office will also be responsible
for Australia.
Currently supported by a team consisting of four qualified engineers
from the area, Gan will intensify sales efforts on behalf of the MEDIAGROUP
in the Southeast-Asian and Pacific regions and enlarge the distribution
network. All projects are now managed directly from Kuala Lumpur: Planning,
installation, deployment, and service. The new team, together with
the Asian distributors, has lost no time in mak-ing their mark: The
very first three AURUS consoles for Asia have just been ordered!
In the Asian countries, radio and TV studios as
well as theatres are currently undergoing the major change from analogue
to digital tech-nology.
Gan has a positive view of the opportunities this offers, “Be
it NEXUS-based digital audio-routing systems, the C.A.S.-range of inter-com
and alert systems, the DELEC intercom systems, or the AURUS digital
console: Products developed and manufactured by the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC
MEDIAGROUP are right on the mark for the requirements of the Asian
market.”
As a partner both on the technical level and in
project management, Mr Hermann Quetting will support the Asian team
from the German headquarters
at Buttenheim. He, too, has an exceptional understand-ing of the pro-audio
market in Asia. Quetting explains the rationale be-hind establishing
the new office “This strong move towards Asia is the considered
response to the positive prospects for the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP
in China and the entire Southeast-Asian markets.”
The other essential underpinning to success in
Malaysia is research and development, and it is a crucial factor
for the latest MEDIAGROUP
offspring. Special adaptations for the Asian market are as well planned
as the newly designed fixed-installation product ranges. Close co-operation
between the MEDIAGROUP R&D departments makes this kind of flexibility
a reality.
