A NEXUS network comprising 19 base devices is used as switching-room
routing system and for connecting to distributed radio studios by the
Polskie Radio government radio station in Warsaw. Thanks to the fibre-optic
cables used with NEXUS, the audio network is virtually latency-free
and can thus be shared by the three studio complexes regardless of
their geographical distances - even though the cable run to one of
these complexes is 13.5 kilometers long!
The analog inputs are connected using RJ45 ports and S/STP lines
known from IT technology, thus saving space and money and increasing
the installation-friendliness. This is achieved thanks to the remarkably
effective common-mode rejection of the I/O‘s made by Stage
Tec.
