Concept

CINETRA is a fully digital mixing-console system used for audio-signal processing that was specially designed for film and multi-channel mixes. It is a distributed system consisting of a main console, a separate channel processor, and a NEXUS routing-matrix system. All system components are interconnected using fibre-optic duplex cables.
CINETRA systems are configured according to the customer's requirements and are expandable, so small ADR mixers can as well be configured as large multi-operator systems for final mixdowns.

The deployment of NEXUS allows for configuring extensive systems in studio facilities. Multiple mixing desks can coexist within a single NEXUS audio network and share all available resources that can be flexibly distributed and assigned. For example, players and effect devices located in other studios (next door or at the far end of the building) can be used at ease. Moreover, as NEXUS is not limited to transferring audio signals, those external devices can even be controlled across the fibre-optic network.
