More than 150 CANTUS systems of various size have already been installed. They are in use at the German radio/TV stations Bayerischer Rundfunk and Süddeutscher Rundfunk, at RTL, RTBF, at the Swiss Broadcasting Service Schweizer Rundfunk, at Radiotelevisione Italia (RAI), SR Sveriges Radio Stockholm, at the Schauspielhaus in Leipzig, the Vienna Akademietheater, the famous German music academies of Stuttgart, Weimar, and Detmold…

The first project was the Studio 10 at the Munich-based radio station Bayerischer Rundfunk brought to live in 1995. The broadcasting studio is completely networked using NEXUS and is equipped with a main console and a slave console in the media archive.

The Neue Messe fairgrounds at Munich have eleven CANTUS desks installed. The extensive NEXUS setup there includes the partial networks for fairground, convention, and broadcasting areas.

The Vienna Akademietheater, the Deutsche Oper at Berlin, the Hannover Opera, the Cologne Opera, the Neuschwanstein Musical Theater, the Stadttheater Bern and the Municipal Hall at Wakayama (Japan) all use CANTUS and NEXUS systems for sound reinforcement.

The Italian RAI utilizes massive CANTUS/NEXUS systems for telecasting the celebrated San Remo Festivals. A very special event was the broadcasting of »La Traviata« by Verdi at the original places and times of day! 125 broadcasting services from all over the world put the show on air – 1.5 billion people watched the opera according to figures spread by RAI. Furthermore, the recordings will be published on CD.
