Design and Ergonomics

When we designed CANTUS, much attention was given to quick and intuitive operation. A clear channel-strip structure with button and encoder groups and the Central Control Unit subdivided into several function groups provide quick orientation.

Eight encoder/indicator sets (a carefully selected number appropriate for immediate perception) and the flexible function assignment allow concentrated work. Simultaneous access to all channel functions is provided via the Central Channel-Control Unit.

Concerning its dimensions, the console was designed to provide optimum access to all control elements and clear readability of all indicators. In addition, the view to the recording room, a projection screen, or a stage will never be blocked thanks to the level console design. The sloping TFT color screen has a superbly large viewing angle and can be read virtually from any position.
