Metering
The AURATUS uses high-resolution TFT colour screens for metering
and parameter readouts. Located directly in the sound engineer’s
field of view, these screens provide accurate and comprehensive
information
about the status of all channels. The screens can be
customised
to display names, filter and dynamics settings or routing
information
in addition to the meter readouts.
Since the meter displays are based on a high-resolution system
and standardised curves, there is no need for external meter bridges.
The flexible screens display everything the user requires – be it a
simple level setting or complex multichannel metering. The meters
have a display range of 60 dB. If necessary, their sensitivity can be
increased
by +20 dB.
The TFT screen in the central section displays all of the console’s
important
output levels as well as timer and signaling information.
The encoder displays provide the user with a quick overview of
the current parameter settings in exactly the place where they can
be changed. On the AURATUS, the precision meter bridge familiar
from the AURUS is enhanced by small TFT displays in the master
section.
Each of these displays is dedicated to a specific function,
for example, an equaliser or a dynamics setting.
Another new feature is the so-called OLED displays located
above the faders on the channel strip. These show the name of the
channel’s
source and the background-layer channel. OLED refers to»organic« LEDs
providing excellent legibility even when viewing from the side. OLEDs also feature
a very fine graphics-enabled matrix. |
