Großes NEXUS-Audionetz in neuem Convention-Center

Doha / Buttenheim, Juli 2009: In der Hauptstadt Doha des aufstrebenden arabischen Staates Katar entsteht derzeit das größte Convention-Center des Nahen Ostens. In Kooperation mit dem Belgrader Systemhaus Svetlost Teatar liefert die SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP die moderne, umfassende ton- und medientechnische Installation, die das Convention-Center zu einem Ort für Veranstaltungen internationalen Formats werden lässt.

Besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf der Glasfaservernetzung der verschiedenen Gebäudeteile. Das Audionetz wird aus einem NEXUS STAR und 16 sternförmig angeschlossenen NEXUS-Basisgeräten bestehen. Die Räume, die für größere Veranstaltungen genutzt werden können, erhalten von der MEDIAGROUP außerdem eine Ausstattung mit digitaler Mischtechnik. Ein großes Konferenzsystem für 4.000 Delegierte sowie umfangreiche Audio- und Videotechnik wie zum Beispiel Mikrofone, Lautsprecher, Projektoren und Displays werden ebenfalls von der MEDIAGROUP geliefert. Das Großprojekt, das von Beauftragung bis zur Fertigstellung in nur knapp drei Jahren realisiert werden soll, wird in 2011 eröffnet.

New Convention Center installs widespread NEXUS audio network

Doha / Buttenheim, July 2009: The largest convention centre in the Middle East is currently under construction in Doha, capital of the emerging Arabian Emirate of Qatar. In cooperation with Svetlost Teatar, a system vendor from Belgrade, the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP will carry out a comprehensive audio and media installation, enabling the new venue to become home for events of international repute.

Special focus lays on the optical network interconnecting the various parts of the complex. The audio network will comprise a NEXUS STAR plus 16 NEXUS Base Devices connected in a star topology. In addition, the rooms that are to be used for major events will be equipped with digital mixing consoles. Moreover, the MEDIAGROUP will provide a large conference system for 4,000 delegates as well as extensive AV systems including microphones, speakers, projectors, and displays. Just three years are scheduled between commissioning and completion of this large-scale project. The centre is due to open in 2011.

The building complex which is designed by the renowned Japanese architect Arata Isozaki will house an auditorium with 2,500 seats, a large convention hall for up to 4,000 people, and several exhibition halls as well as a large number of smaller rooms suitable for presentations and meetings. With its tree-shaped façade, the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) is being talked about as the future symbol of Doha.
