The Stage Tec Entwicklungsgesellschaft für professionelle Audiotechnik GmbH, based in Berlin, specializes in the development and production of innovative audio technology. Stage Tec was founded in 1993 by 20 shareholders, almost all of whom are still working in the company today, assuming responsibility for the consistent performance of the company. The managing director of the company Dr. Ing. Helmut Jahne is part of the founding team of Stage Tec and has driven the technical dominance of the product lines with numerous patents and developments.

Stage Tec has made a name for itself as one of the leading pioneers in the transition from analogue to digital audio technology and has set new standards in digital technology. NEXUS was honored in 2010 as the best routing system in the world with the Emmy® Award, the most prestigious US television award in Los Angeles. The introduction of the mixing console AURUS in 2002 marked an extraordinary success, which continues with several hundred sold systems until today. 2006 AURATUS and 2009 CRESCENDO were presented - two compact consoles for broadcast and theater. The transmission mixer ON AIR flex for broadcasting came on the market in 2014. The brand new, IP-based mixing console AVATUS reaches market maturity in 2019 and picks up on the trend towards IP networking in the audio industry.

Stage Tec's products can be found worldwide in such prominent installations as the Bolshoi Theater, the Vatican, the British BBC, the Moscow Kremlin, the Beijing Olympic Stadium, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf, and various German, Swiss, Italian Chinese and Belgian broadcasters.
