Ergonomics

Ergonomics plays a key role in operating a mixing console. Users working in visual environments such as film, TV or live mixing expect intuitive operation. Users focussing on the action on stage or on a video screen need direct access to key parameters rather than encoders and buttons controlling multiple functions.

Therefore, the philosophy of instant access to key parameters on the channel strip, familiar from AURUS, was also applied to AURATUS. The console is equipped with a relatively large number of controls. Thus, all important parameters are accessed and viewed directly.

The AURATUS surface is tailor made for intuitive, fast and reliable operation. Its straightforward handling allows for a relaxed working atmosphere and results in high-quality productions not only in live situations but also in production environments.

All functions are optimized for clarity and rapid access because AURATUS is designed to be used not only by engineers but also by production staff.

The console dimensions are designed for optimal access to all controls and easy viewing of the displays and indicators. AURATUS offers a very comfortable convenient operating depth. Furthermore, the meter bridge is extremely low due to the 16:10 screens employed. This provides excellent visual contact with the recording studio, video screens and/or the stage. The TFT colour screens offer extended lateral viewing angles and remain legible from almost any position.
